How did I miss ordering a ribbon? I don't think I have seen the offer? Is it too late? They are really beautiful by the way!

Katies Mom and Lucy, I sent both of you the info in the ribbons just a few minutes ago. Sorry I am on the East coast and went to bed last night before your posts. Thanks Diannep, I only wish the pictures looked as good as they do in person. They never do, maybe if I hired someone who has special equipment for photographing jewelry the pics might look awesome but that would be way to expensive I'm sure. I really wanted to do something special on the ribbons for this group. I bet it is going to be an awesome celebration.

Craig I must say I am honored that you used my quote about the body snatchers lol.

Very pretty ribbons, Lala!

Angie - With this PIR group being outdoors, are the sailors going to have more "body snatchers"?

and I know someone will ask:

Lala quote is the best:  Body Snatchers - Body Snatchers walk up and down between the rows of sailors at PIR and look for anyone who looks like they may pass out, they have to stand for a very long time and often lock their knees which cuts the blood flow and makes them faint.  The Body Snatchers catch them, hopefully, before they fall, and removes the sailor to the back area without causing a disruption to the ceremony.   You'll see at least 10 people drop.

Here is a picture.  Notice the guy at a 90 degree angle on the end? That's a "Body Snatcher".

That is crazy.. I'm glad we know ahead of time if I just saw someone randomly drop  I would probably start freaking out thinking they had a heart attack or something.

That's a good idea. My letter tomorrow night will contain that suggestion. I don't know why we didn't think of that. We have been trying to figure out how to deal with this since before he left lol. If he sends one soon, there will be enough time to cool down before PIR, oh my gosh this may just work! And oh I have been praying alright. I think more in the past month than in all my years at private school, lets hope it pays off.

Jessica --

Maybe he could send them a letter ahead of time letting them know his time will be limited and he wants to have dinner with the group and then spend some time alone with you.  You could even send him some paper and addressed, stamped envelopes (to his parents) just in case he decides to deal with it that way.

I know having a heads up would be helpful to me.  You need to know that parents run senarios through their minds as well and their perfect day may not match yours or his.

Everyone probably wants him to have what he wants.  We just all want him to want what we want.

Since you mention you're relgious, this is a tip I will share ...

I pray for God to take control of the situation and then let go and let God handle it.  Pray and you will find peace.

Oh, I'm positive I will not be the only one there with this situation. Hopefully when we see him everyone will be so happy they will forget how much they can't stand each other. That's the goal.

And also know that some of what's going on is just plain emotions.  We're girlies, that's just how it works.  I LOVE my husbands parents, and so does he.  BUT I can just feel myself getting jealous of his time already.  Just part of it I guess.

Oh I am nervous for PIR hopefully this will work out with the least amount of damage possible.. I can't wait to see him! I'm kind of excited for the free for all when they call liberty. I'm wearing flats I can sprint in (:
