HA Connie.. it needs to be titled "What REALLY happens in BC"
Comment by ConnieC on May 28, 2011 at 7:58pm

We should write a book of short stories of BC.  My daughter is keeping a journal, Lord knows what is in there.  She is going to start sending the pages home for me to keep for her.

I have a friend that works with the Marine Wounded Warrior BN here at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and some of the stories, she could write a whole series of books and no one would believe that they were true.

Forget Navy Mom's Cook Book, we have Tales of Navy Mom's and Boot Camp..  Lol

You ladies should do yourselves a favor and switch to Firefox as your browser.  I switched at work and at home back when IE was having major security issues and even convinced my boss to switch to it.  I've found very few things it's not compatible with and it's less trouble than IE overall.

I'm thinking ALL our SR's have the 'ricky crud' (the hubby... old NUKE says its 'recruiters crud') passing it back and forth to each other.  My daughter had/has it... and I see many on here are talking about their kids having a cold of sorts when they got THE CALL!  I have to laugh, thinking if all of our kids saw what all we write about on here... from the 'not getting a call/letter' to the ricky crud to foreign languages (HA).. they would probably roll their eyes (and as the mom of a FEMALE SR) a 'muuutherrrrrrr' and a click of the tongue...Makes me wonder.. how many eye rolls their RCPO's get behind their backs.. YIKES ! : )

they are so scared when they get there, everyone is yelling at them and they are probably thinking what have I gotten myself into. I bet at that point in time she would probably rather have missed making the call than to risk getting yelled at more and having to ask to change lines. It is good they are past that point :-)

My dtr had a definite blonde moment when she got to GL as well.  They told all the recruits that had cell phones with them to get in one line and the ones that didn't to get in another (to make "the call" home).  WELL, ding dong child of mine.... she sat in a room for 20 minutes with a DEAD PHONE battery!  She knew darn well it was dead cuz she used it up talking to me from the bus on the way there!!  She was too scared to get up and switch to the other room, so she just sat there!! hhaha

yay Connie!  so GLAD you're getting your call!!  woohoo

Hey Jayson's Mom, ha ha, so funny.
Awesome Jenn, who knew that a phone call could calm the heart? I will hold this phone call close to my heart until we get the " I'm a Sailor" call.
