There are no guaranteed calls except "I'm here" and "I'm a Sailor".  My son is in 933 - I hope they're doing better than your bf's Division - but I haven't gotten a letter or personal call yet either.

Aw :( well according to my last letter my boyfriend has gotten IT quite a few times and his division has not been doing so great, so I guess I won't be getting one anytime soon. Do they get one for making it halfway? or just the "I'm a Sailor" call?
Comment by Paula (was Capricorna) on May 26, 2011 at 10:59am
I seriously doubt the Divisions are allowed calls in numerical order.  They get to call if the Division is doing well - it is for motivation.  If they goof up, they don't get to call.

sailorwife - Thanks for asking.  I have mostly males on the website and some females.  I have female sailors at my work, but non fresh out of boot camp because of the FY funding freeze.  Rules are always changing.  Just wanted to know the most up-to-date info.

Yeah I saw on the facebook page a lot were going out, be sure to post if you get one! I'll keep my fingers crossed for us!

I know that a friend of mine on fb, her SR is in 211 and she got a call yesterday. My hubby is 215 and there are three more after that before the two 800 and the 900 DIV. I'll let you know when/if I get a call Jessica, that way you may be able to expect yours soon.

I am wondering if they are making the calls in order of the divisions? (lowest to highest) I am waiting on 932.
Comment by corpsmanwifeschu on May 26, 2011 at 10:05am
I know it's early so it should be safe, since I see everyone post that they got those call in the late afternoon, but I'm seriously debating on if I should shower without someone to "man the phone." Knowing my luck, that is when he would be able to call. If my mom takes my son after our Weight Watchers meeting this morning, I may just sit in front of the mail boxes with a sign stating, "you can only deliver if you have a letter!"

My neighbors already think that I'm nuts, don't worry they just don't understand. Some divisions got calls last night, so I am stalking my phone even more than usual today! Keep yours on you, you just never know what could happen!
Comment by corpsmanwifeschu on May 26, 2011 at 9:48am
Yay for Sharon! I so am hoping for a letter today. I would definitely be okay with a call, too. It's not even 8 here and my mailman won't be here for another minimum of four hours and I already want to sit (im)patiently by the mailboxes with my phone in hand. My neighbors will begin to think I'm crazy if I follow through with this idea.
