Sunshine:  Did you want to download a pik to replace the silhouette pik on here?  It is easy to do.  Just google Navy piks, save what you like, and download.  Then you can "personalize" your group!

@mominva, that's pay grade.  start out at E-1...  some SR's get up to E-3 when they're in DEP if they help with recruiting and pass some tests on military etiquette, insignia, etc...  I didn't think they got the grade change until they were OUT of boot camp, though.  My brother was in the army and he said it took him 2.5 yrs to get E-3, so, it's a pretty nice deal.

got lots of letters from my SR today, so gotta go write back!  she's got a sore knee, but should have been back in action on Monday.  missed everyone, i was internet-less for a couple days here!

I am here representing Div 213 whoop whoop lol. mominva do you mean the promotion the will earn when they graduate BC or the different jobs that are held in the Div in BC? I.e. RCPO?
Comment by mominva on May 25, 2011 at 5:23pm

Does anyone know what the different levels in bootcamp mean? E-1, E2?? Just curious what it means and if there is a place to go to learn about it.

MNSunshine: what do you mean by participation? ( I know what it means, just don't know what you mean? Mine is in div 218.

Does anyone know why there is so much participation by the 900 divisions and much less from the others?  It seems curious to me.  Great, but curious!

I want to thank the veteran moms again.  I don't know how we would muddle through all this without you.  Thank you.

I got an "Easy Letter Home" (aka Questionaire) back today.  My SR sounded a bit more down this week.  I guess he had a molar removed -- not his wisdom teeth (surprised me).  He said he was only getting ibuprofen and from the sounds of it, it's not nearly enough.  He had some oral surgery last spring.  I was hoping he would be able to keep the molar.  At the time he had two wisdom teeth removed and some work done to coax the molar in further.  Guess that turned out to be a lost cause.  Guess that's how it goes.

I have a letter waiting at home.  Can't wait to get there to read it.
