Have you all been watching "Coming Home" on Lifetime at 10 pm EST on Sunday nights?  You will see the strength in those ladies as they wait for their military men to return...it is very inspiring.  Covers all of the military...different surprise homecoming stories each week.  Be sure to watch it!

Capricorna: I don't even want to think about when he deploys.. I know that somehow we will make it through though. It's just going to be a hard bit in our relationship but I know we will make it past it.

esther - that is so cool that it is probably your husband that is buddies with JessicaB's SR!

JessicaB - don't stress over the time after PIR - it could be that you will have more time than you think.  Be prepared for the worst and hope to be pleasantly surprised!  What're you going to do when he actually deploys???  The good bye's are rough, but the welcome backs will be so very sweet!

Mominva - my SR left the week before yours - still no letter, but I spoke with him (official business) and he said he sent a letter.  So don't expect a letter for at least another week.

He said my letters make him cry, his letters are a mix of really sad and really happy. In one he wanted to just quit all together than in the next he was remembering why he is doing this, sounds like my poor guy is on as much of an emotional roller coaster as I am.

and we think my husband is his buddy, only my husband is 28 not 29.... maybe he forgot??  we do that sometimes! ha, but yeah, two kids and he was a cop!  so probably my husband!!  how cool is that!!

Yep, where does that strength come from?? It will be hard for him too.

I just wish that we had more time after PIR. two-three hours is not enough. I don't know how I'm going to be able to say goodbye again.

Awesome Jessica! Wow, you did hit the jackpot!! It's going to be impossible to match that! So happy for you, I know if fills a big hole.

JessicaB - You sure hit the jackpot!  You're so lucky your SR likes to write - that is SO cool!  I am not expecting much in the way of letters from my SR (that way if he does grace me with more than the one letter he said he sent, I will be pleasantly surprised).  The part I like best is that he has a buddy.  I can only imagine how much easier it is if you have someone to watch your back.  Yay for you and your SR.  Thanks for sharing.
