Just got a "business" call from my SR.  He sounded good and said all is well.  He is receiving my letters (and said they really help!) and mentioned that he had written back.

Woo Hoo!

For the few of you:

I know a couple of you in this group have sailors that are already serving in the field/fleet.  Just wanted to let you know the advancement results are in:

I've been asked to post this message from time to time.  With all our Discussion Groups, I don't want it to get lost.  There's no changes, just a repost.  Thanks.

U.S. Navy
Recruit Training Command
We need to stress to this
group that the guest policy is different for this group than it is for other
graduating groups.

Each recruit will be allowed to invite four guests.
Children do count against the four-guest maximum. ADDITIONAL GUESTS WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY!

While other graduating groups may have
additional guests attend the ceremony as additional space is available, the July
1st group will not be allowed ANY additional guests. This is firm. We repeat: NO
ADDITIONAL GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY.

This graduation
is the centennial celebration of Naval Station Great Lakes 100 years of training
Sailors at Great Lakes and the ceremony will be held outdoors.

Again,
only the guests whose names are on the access list will be allowed to attend the
ceremony. This includes children. Four guests only.

It is imperative
that you communicate with your recruits as to which four guests' name will be on
the access list. Only your recruit is allowed to make any changes to the access
list, and the deadline for them to do so will be at least a week prior to
graduation.

U.S. Navy
Recruit Training Command
We'd also like to stress
that recruits will not be allowed to add another recruit's guests to the access
list. This practice is always highly discouraged anyway and it has caused
difficulties with family members unable to get into the ceremony because their
recruit listed another recruits guests' names instead.

CTmomof2 - I just sent you an invite to be a "friend".  I think we should "talk" about our boys away from this Group.

To "Donna" who sent the message to all in this group.  Thinking that you should be in the PIR 7/8/11 group.  Here is the link if you see this message!
