Wow! Well I just turned 18 so I guess I really have no excuse. If you can manage all of that I'm sure I can step up my game a little. I have a 3 pound yorkie with 3 legs, so he can't really walk more than down the block, I guess I'll throw on the iPod and hop to it myself. I may even go tonight now! (:

Ok, Jessica:  Here's the secret.  First, I live in S. Florida...land of the HOT most of the year so it is always walking weather.  Secondly, I have 2 big dogs who LOVE to walk...and fast!  Yep, only allowed one pee break...that's it...and only one does that..the other doesn't like to "pee on a leash."  Go figure...he waits until we return to the yard. So there is no stand-around wasted time....

That is my prayer time too, by the way, from 6 a.m to 6:40 a.m. as I finish my 2 miles.  I pray for the sailors/SRs during this time in addition to my family.  So...see...you have to multi-task....can't just WALK...you have to do other things too!  Like taking your mom with you so you can visit too!  Then you look forward to the visit and forget that your legs are moving so fast!  I thrive on exercise...7 days a week....would be nuts without it....I eat very healthy and take lost of vitamins too...lifelong.  I blame my mom for my exercise addiction...I was a competitive swimmer for 10 yrs, starting at 7 yrs old, and got used to the discipline.

Oh, and the gym class....that is my social time too...don't get me wrong, our teachers are like bootcamp teachers so there is NO talking in there...or you die ..  But afterwards....we all talk and solve all of the problems of the world!

I don't miss my walks or gym classes for anything...my "exercise" friends get it, my don't-lift-a-finger friends think I'm crazy....whatever...oh, and I'm 57, or so my license says.  But I don't FEEL 57 so I'm in denial.

Good luck to your plan!  Stick to it and you will find that you so look forward to it!

Dianne are we related? lol we think alike. I will not disclose the location, I promise lol. Tomorrow is my big gym day. 45 min workout then 45 min yoga class then a big honkin chocolate bar lol,

diannep: you are so motivated! I wish I was as much. My mom and I decided that we will start out going to the gym (walking there) and doing an hour three times a week together. Hopefully we stick to it! We are also getting rid of all the junk food (step-dad dosen't like this) and eating healthier. I'm probably going to pick up some workout classes on the side too, I'm hoping to lose 6-10lbs by PIR! Having a set date is more of a motivator than I thought. What keeps you going?

Jessica, calls come so randomly...any time, any where.  But if a division starts calling, some of the ladies may post on here that they are calling so if you happen to be on the site, you may get a bit of a "headsup."

Connie:  Well, of course you will LIE if hubs asks about it, right????  I mean, a true chocoholic NEVER discloses the location of her STASH!  :-)

Also, I'm an exercise freak....2 mile walk in the early morning, hour gym class, another walk in the afternoon.  So remember...if you do your gym class, you burn calories at a higher rate for a couple of hours afterwards...so EAT CHOCOLATE THEN!  Then it just....ummm....goes away and doesn't store in your body....right????  HUH?????

Oh my gosh, I am freaking out every time that my phone rings! Is anyone else experiencing this? I live near the base (an hour), so basically everyone I know has an 847 area code. I think I'm going to lose my mind! Does anyone know when approximately we should be getting a letter or call? I'm dying to hear form my SR.

Also keep in mind, this PIR is also the Navy's 100th Anniversary Celebration, I have no idea if this will impact the amount of time we have, but I have my fingers crossed to have a little extra because of it!

Don't want to cause concern, that's just what my son's Recruiter said. He said they would probably leave for A school on Saturday, but again, he wasn't sure. Don't worry, we should hear more information as time goes by.
