Jessica,

In my son's letter, we were instructed to include the first name:

SR Last Name, First name,MI

Is using the initials better?

On his first letters, I included his given name and that seemed so funny.  I'm used to using his nickname.

Not a big deal, just thought you would have insight.

Thanks!

Thanks diannep!

I"m really new to this.  I've only been here a little over a week, but am really excited to meet other sailors and their loved ones.  I see Lala's joined us.

My son is Ship 12 Div 211.

He's a nuke from MN.

Hi, MNSunshiine.  Thanks for starting the group!  I am another veteran mom, like JessicaBSailor, and some others who will be dropping in (Lala, Betsy, janlee, etc).  I'm sure Jessica will be joining later today and will post lots of good info on here.  Please feel free to ask any questions that you would like.  Jessica's son and my son started in the same PIR group...my son was asmoed (setback) a week, so they graduated a week apart...way back in the beginning of 2010!  So we have been on here a long time and hopefully have knowledge to share!

Good luck to your SR!
