Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Corpsman - I love taking pictures...I kind of wish I would have done Bethany's...My 23 yr. isn't married yet, nor is seeing anyone...but wants to someday be married, but she is trying to get through school with no distractions...though plenty of guys have asked her out....But anyway...we discussed that no matter how stressful it might be...I will do the pictures...

So...how was the wedding? You will have to post pictures...

Comment by z's proudmamma on October 25, 2011 at 5:17pm: Jessica, beautiful pictures of your wedding. Maria, I'm glad you had a great visit with your daughter. Steph, good luck on the job hunt. The paper route does not sound fun but at least it is something for now.

My son made it through the elimination phase of his SWCC training in Coronado. The class started with over 40 men and only 15 were left at the end. Luckily my son was one of them--I was so relieved! He starts the qualification phase in January so he will use the time until then to get in better shape. He did ok on the swimming part but he needs to improve his run time a bit. I got to see him after he completed BCT and he was happy but exhausted. I think he was glad it was over!
