Oh Wow Jess, that is incredible! We've dealt with David's Bridal with both my sons and daugthers Bridesmaids gowns...we've not had any problems either! Bethany's dress did not need ONE alteration! It fit prefect...we just needed to have it busseled (however one does spell that word)!?!?!?
I was thinking about you yesterday and your upcoming wedding! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
I can't wait for Bethany's professional pictures either...my cousins daughter is a photographer, so that was a great blessing...I'm can't believe how everything came together so quickly!
Paula & Jess - thanks...yes, the wedding was absolutely beautiful..all the guys and gals looked so stunning...I was very pleased with how well the wedding went!
The nervous feeling...I'm not sure if Beth got it or not..she kept saying she was okay. Matthew did too, until the rehearsal...you could see it all over his face! It was so cute...
Thought this is not the way we would have choosen for things to go...we just couldn't be more please...I love watching Beth and Matt together...they are SO cute. It is obvious that he absolutely adores Bethany and for that we are so grateful. We were more than excited to welcome him into our family Saturday! I have a great son and daughter in law...Oh I got to spent alot of time with Stacy...she is SO SO much fun! Never dreamed my husband and I would have so of the 'funny' conversation we do with her and my son...they guess keep her guessing rather they are joking or telling the truth!!! It is sooooooooo funny....
Jess, Yeah...I can't wait to post a couple of the professions too! We went to the engagment location and the entire Bridal party was there...can't wait to see the pics with them all together...the colors were so great together and wen't so well with the gowns and tuxs! Be praying for you to have strenght and courage as you face your roommates and a confidence...
Lovemynavyson - beautiful pix! Thanks for sharing.
Stephanie - please try to diffuse that feeling of doom - do something proactive if you can and keep thinking "I don't want to fight - I want to get along - I love my mother". I believe what you think about, you bring about.
JessicaB - That's super about the dress! Please don't forget to post pix when you can. This Saturday is the Big Day! Wow. Best wishes for a long, happy, healthy life together.
Maria - 9 days with your daughter! Wow. Took son to airport yesterday. He'll return in November before he goes to Hawaii. Said he had a great weekend. He's glad he joined the Navy (friends are going nowhere). Enjoy your family get away!
Very pretty dress! Looks like they had a great wedding (: Oh my gosh; you're getting me all excited for mine... I can't believe it's THIS saturday!!!
I spent 2.5 hours in David's Bridal today; I had an alterations crisis. I was ready to explode at first, but I was WOWED with their customer service. Three seamstresses dropped what they were doing and focused 100% on my dress for the whole time so it would be ready for my dad to drive it to SC tomorrow. It was like 8 fittings in one, and I think they had to press the dress 6 separate times and also sew in cups as well as alter the bust area countless times. Best of all, they apologized profusely for it taking so long and didn't charge me a penny. I don't know why they have such a bad reputation, I'm very pleased with my experience today!
On the downside, I have to face my roommates for the first time in who knows how many weeks tomorrow. I'm really nervous. I wish I could keep avoiding it but I suppose I can't hide forever. I have to stay there tomorrow night and Wednesday night. ick.
