My flight gets in at 330, and technically the nukes don't get out of class until 4. However, on Fridays usually it's earlier and he can ask his chief for permission to get off base a bit early (he has done it before). So fingers crossed, maybe, just maybe it will work out (:

Maybe he has something up his sleeve there too Sailorwife (:

Added that way too fast. He does seem to have something planned for that night however. I have to go and find something semi-formal to wear for it, too. I kinda want to know what it is, but at the same time I don't mind him keeping it from me. I'm bad with surprises, I always find out what it is.

Eeee!!! After my emotional roller coaster past couple weekends, I would love it if someone met me at the airport. Even had a friend say I "request" it, but I'm not going to home my breath. I hope he can meet you. That'd be awesome.
Hope you can get out there in January, Steph.

Paula-wow, that was fast to get orders.  What is your son's rate?  I was thinking that he was IT in Pensacola - (same as my son).  He's told me that he'll be lucky to finish A school by Christmas.  I am pea-green with envy though --Hawaii - WOW!
Comment by Paula (was Capricorna) on October 6, 2011 at 1:55pm

Jessica, I can feel your excitement all the way down here in Florida.

btw - I don't need a tropical getaway - I need to get away from the tropics!!!  lol

All the best to you and Grant, today, tomorrow and forever!

My son just called.  He is coming down this weekend to visit for 3 days but he wanted to tell me he got "soft" orders to go to Hawaii for 3 years.  He wanted Japan, but is happy with Hawaii...  me too!

Stephanie, I'm glad you are able to have closure.  Are you able to make it to Jessica's wedding?  Please give her my love and best wishes if you do go.

Glad he finally got back to you Steph. He left you hanging for a while. I know its not what any of us really wanted you to hear, but glad the air is now clear for the future.
