I posted this in the SWCC group but I thought I'd post it here as well:

Hello everyone.  I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving.  I was very blessed this year to have my son with us.  We camped down at the Camp Pendleton beach camping for the week.  My son brought two of his SWCC buddies and we also invited a Corpsman who is in training at Camp Pendleton (Jamie's hubby).  It was a wonderful California Thanksgiving.  I know that my son may not be with us for future holidays so I cherished every moment.  It was also nice to be able to share it with some other sailors who were far from home.  We tried to spoil them a bit.  Here are some pictures from our day:

So happy for you steph! (you already know that though :] )

I dropped grant off back at base about 45min ago. It still sucks pretty much just as bad as the first time. Which is odd seeing as I know I will be back in 24 days but I think goodbyes (even short ones) are always going to be sucky.

Did I mention i move in 24 days?!?! FOR GOOD! Finally no more visits. I can't wait(:

how was everyone's thanksgivings? I had a great one, helped cook with another navy wife friend for about 15 sailors that couldn't go home for the holiday, she had a huge dinner at her house for them all. we had a blast!

Heyy all, hope everyone has had a WONDERFUL thanksgiving. Mine was AMAZING!!! I got an early christmas present that just cannot be beat. I have to brag for a moment because im SO excited. I can now say that i have a sailor again. And not just ANY sailor.....MY sailor :) He came home for the weekend for thanksgiving. He got here late wednesday night and text me asking to see me. I couldnt say no, lol so i went and met him at my brothers house. We talked for over 3 hrs and he explained EVERYTHING. Why he did what he did and what his thinking was behind it. And he told me that he has been trying to convince himself for the last 3.5 months that it was the right thing to do and that he didnt miss me or still love me. But he has come to realize that he cant convince himself of it because its not true, he has missed me from day 1 and his feelins never changed and he doesnt wanna try to convince himself anymore. He spent an entire 3 hrs apologizing and finally asked me if i would give him a second chance. He said he has realized what he did and the mistake he made and doesnt want someone else to whisk me away. He said that was his job, lol. I couldnt say no. That man still holds my heart. So as of thanksgiving morning, we are back together! and i couldnt be happier :)

Sorry you didn't get that job, Steph. Glad you're getting away from the newspapers. That can be a very draining way to make anything but a living. Hope you can find something in GA!

Wanted share this photo with everyone. It's our son at the Veteran's Day Celebration in our home town the other week. It has quickly become one of my favorite photos.
