OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Good morning everyone, hitting the road this morning with the rental truck and heading back home to the mountains. This was the quickest trip to the beach ever and the hotel had feather pillows. UGGGG I can't breathe lol

CatMom, the hotels here are just too expensive to stay. We will be going to FL next week. My husbands favorite Aunt passed away and e wants to be with family. So I take all my "supplies" and work from there :) His sister has a garage apt she uses for family to visit and she lives at the beach. It is a great place to go and relax and we always have a Navy mom/family meet and greet. So we will for sure get our beach time in :)

Lala,

If you are going to make the drive over to Wilmington, why don't you spend some time at the beach with your daughter before heading back?  What's the rush??  Enjoy the surrounding area when you make trips~~  You are all just going to be home for the summer!!

Hi all, I finally got a chance to get on here. It's been a busy crazy week. I got all my work finished early and we are now in Wilmington moving our daughter back home from college. Quick trip here today and heading home first thing tomorrow. I wish we had more time so we could spend a day at the beach :)

Is everyone ready for PIR? You are getting so so close :)

We are all rounding the corner! It is almost time! Ya! I too got a letter yesterday and am anazed (as always) how much he has grown up- the bad news he recieved - he handled like a champ and made a very adult decision with his part of it- he told me he was going to church (which thrilled me) - I can't wait to see him- if you are his bunkmates mom last name beginning with S- DIV 215- please message me.

Eric:  I saw where you were disabled from your service....that touched my heart....because not only did you serve your country, you paid a high price.  Thank you and blessings to you in your life!

Lois:  So glad he is doing so well in Bootcamp!

The girl in the cellphone pik's name is Marilyn.  Her son, Jordan, PIRed back in mid 2010.  Yep, I've been on this site SOOOOO LOONG!  :-)  He was over in Japan....I had the privilege of "meeting" Marilyn on her PIR group when I was helping out and then in person just a few months later when I went to see my son at his duty station, which was not too far from her home--about 2 hours away (another wonderful N4Moms friend rode with her to meet me....we had a blast!).  Marilyn and her family were so kind to invite my son to their Thanksgiving dinner that year....a real blessing since he was missing his first Thanksgiving with our family!  That's how Navy families are!  They look out for one another!

So.....now you know who the silly lady is in the cellphone pik!  :-)

Good Morning Everyone!
