N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

NukeWife14,

Your letter should get to your SR hubby in time for him to add your mom's name to the Access List, but the only way for him to let you know he did so is when he makes the "I'm a Sailor" call.

Do you know if he receives your letters in two days or three days?  If two, he will receive it on Saturday and can write that Sunday that he added her.  If three, then he won't receive your letter till Monday the 30th and will have to let you know on his phone call~~  The timing is pretty close!

Yea, if her name is isn't on the list, then she will have to wait at your hotel and can probably watch the Livestream PIR there (ask where they show it). Then you can both come to the hotel to pick her up.

15 Days everyone...I am so excited as I am sure all of you are as well.....did you all get the battle station 21 date from the lady on Facebook? I have it for Div 815?:)

Just got his letter but my son didn't mention a phone call.  He did get his marksmanship ribbon.  He seemed tired.  I imagine he is!!!  But I think he is seeing that light at the end of the tunnel and counting down the tests, inspections, DAYS until PIR!!!

No way to predict who will call, Boatingmom.  So very random!  Just be ready at anytime!

I personally don't know how it works Boatingmom, but she's in Division 218. That light at the end of the tunnel is shining bright now, they get their orders after the phone call according to her.

Hello All!

Ship 13 Div 216 - Just received a letter from my SR - He's doing well...but ready to get BC over with!  He said he too earned a marksmanship ribbon for shooting.  He said they took pictures in their dress blues yesterday (Friday) and Gas Chamber is Thursday (tomorrow)!  He said he earned a reward (phone call - fingers crossed) and that he didn't know when it would be.. so I'm keeping the phone close... and praying to hear from him !  Also he sent all his letters home that he received in BC.  Love reading the post.... and can't wait for 7/11.

I hope so too JTMom, tomorrow is also a planned NEX run for them so it looks promising that way. As we used to say in the Marine Corps, stand-by to stand-by (your phones). Lol
