Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Can't sleep anymore-let the day begin!! Soo much happening today!! Picture to be posted, sailor call and starting our journey to PIR! It will be hard to pack, tidy up the house, stalk the web sites, and jump every time the cell phone or home phone rings all at the same time today!!

kldnoble just wondering if your Sailor stated when they would need to be at the airport flying out to Penscola? My son said his ticket stated that he had to be there at 1 a.m Sat morning and he flys out at 7 pm  sat evening UGH..also wondering if anyone knows if we can order pictures at graduation as my sailor didnt order any?

ALL:  When you talk to your SR after BS21 you may want to ask them what they would like you to take for the backpack if you do plan on going to the airport.  Forgot to say the backpack can't have any logo's or fancy sticthing.  They have them for sale at the NEX.  Someone told me in our group they found them at the local Army/Navy surplus store.
