Got "The Call" today!  So proud of our Sailors Div 281.  Congrats to all the other Sailors and Families. Will be thinking of all the sons and daughters of "The Moms" tonight....

Congrats to the divisions that got to make their calls today! And thanks Candace for keeping the candle burning for the rest of us. I've been burning one since Tuesday and plan to continue through the rest of the week. : )

Thanks, my sailors live 7/8 of a mile from the beach in a downstairs apt and are clueless about what to do. I do know if there is a mandatory evacuation they are planning on coming home, that is if they can get out with all the traffic.

I'm checking in late...I fretted all day about not hearing anything then finally on my way to a dinner meeting I got THE CALL!  I was soooo excited and he just said, "Hi Mom..I have lots of time to talk now if you need to ask me any questions"...he's a very laid back kind of guy...lol Congratulations to all the Sailors in 281/282 and to all of us moms & wives for making it through boot camp! The rest of the divisions and families are in my prayers and my blue candles are still burning for all of you!  See you in Great Lakes!!!

I'm trying to focus on PIR. First we had the earthquake (which scared my children and I to death!) and now we are being told to prepare for the hurricane. Hopefully it will pass right by us!
