Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

WELCOME TO PIR 09/21/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Comment by Rox (FN-EM/Nuke School) on August 29, 2012 at 9:37am: Missed a call from my SR last night. He made sure I knew he was disappointed that he got my voicemail. RDC's played a game w/them yesterday. He was asked 3 questions and answered all correct. Had a choice of a. something for himself or b. passing grades for the next 5 SRs. He chose b. When it was all over he had earned a call. Sounds good. Sounds stronger. Graduation in 3.5 weeks and counting. :)

First The phone call on sunday and then a surprise letter the next day lol my week has been off to a very happy start! I hope it has been the same for all you ladies as well! Do you know that in just two more weeks, this group will be starting BattleStations....their final test and then they are sailors! So be asking your SRs when their division will go through. We cannot post BattleStations dates on this site, but you can private message them. Please friend request/message me with the date as I keep a schedule. I have been doing this since early 2010 so have some hints on when they can go!
