Uh oh, I had no idea. We've purchased a watch already. Need to check it when I get home...
4everb, I have heard that their watch needs to be silver or black or a combination of the two. Yellow gold is reserved for officers as far as jewelry is concerned except for wedding bands.
Regallily, they won't send out a new form letter. Ask your recruit in your next letter for the pass word. You will need it to print your parking pass to get onto the base. And your recruit is the only person who can give it to you. He filled it out and will know what it is. It could still come this late I guess. Mine seemed to take forever. I had a real letter before I got the form letter. They don't allow anyone else to share the password because anyone could pretend to be someone they are not and would then have access to the base. We are sure you are a Navy Mom but you can never be too safe where our military service members are concerned.
WANNA GET MY SR A WATCH FOR A GIFT!! DO YOU KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY DO & DON'TS.
GOT MY COINS TODAY!!! YAY!!! NOW ALL I NEED IS A PHONE CALL!!!
Diannep - I don't know why I thought that....I am staying at the La Quinta in Gurnee - they have a great free breakfast - (I work at the La Quinta here in Washington State) - so kinda got a good rate... :)
I never got my form letter.....who should I contact for it? I did get letters from my son, but no form letter.
Hello Family... Long day..Training, training & more training. I would rather be in class with the children..They don't come til the 27th. No call YET..I still have hope that I will get one 2day.. 2morow I am in a building with not reception Ugh..Hope if it has to come 2morow its in the evening. Zachsmom I am sooooooo happy to hear you are doing better. I know it will work out for you. Praying for your speedy recovery...Thought of Amy & her SR 2day really strong, praying that's a good sign..Still praying Amy.. Hope everyone has had a Blessed Day... Praying we all get calls SOON!!
Mo'sMom: It is ok to say where you are staying! No problem with sharing hotel names on here.
Hi Zachsmom - I have not received a call yet. But my son did call his fiance - We have booked our flight from Sea-Tac to Chicago - will arrive on the 20th. Renting a car. I think we aren't supposed to say places we are staying - so let's just say it is in Gurnee. I have never been to Chicago before and am hoping to take my son out for a graduation deep dish Chicago pizza! Can't wait! And Zachsmom it will all work out...one way or another it always does. You will be there!
WEEK ""4"" WOW!! How far we've come! How is everyone? I'm hanging in ther,. still sore, but coping. Proud to say my SR sent me 2 letter last week. No call, but I'm blessed I heard from him. Anyone get a CALL? Who has booked their flights? Who's driving? Where y'all staying? Seeing I have NO insurance, this unexpected trip to the ER is really going to mess up our finances. I will do just about anything I have to to go to PIR. It will all work out. I have been reading all your posts over the weekend, and want to THANK ALL OF YOU FOR BEING HERE!!
