Thanks Dianne, I look forward to talking to her :-)
The teaching job isn't over until Sept 10th. I thought we had two days of orientation (Sun and Mon) so I had gotten a sub for today. I am so thankful to have the day off and be back at home. I have soooo much to catch up on and I am even going to try and get a little ahead today :-) Not to mention lots of laundry lol. I definitely was not used to working every day.
Beautiful, Lala.....hope you all have a very special call today! Are you teaching today, or is that over?
Kellie: The divisions start out with around 88 SRs but they lose some (asmoed, which means setback, or discharged) and then they gain new ones back from previous PIR groups who had been asmoed but now are resuming training. They graduate with between 65-75 sailors per division, on average.
Thanks everyone, I truly believe that we are put into places and situations for a reason and if there had not been a struggle with the suitcases I would have never met her. She actually texted me last night and she reached out saying she would like to talk to me today so I am expecting a call from her :-)
This is what she sent me in the text; her soldier had sent it to her :-)
My Mother gave me life and never once asked for anything in return.
That is her secret you knon; always giving without expectations.
She is as constant as the sunrise, the moon, the stars and I count on her.
She helps me find my way through the years and makes me laugh while doing it.
There are some things that only a Mother can do!!!
We luv ya too 4everb because we're mom's and that's why :)
Does anyone have an idea on how many SR's are in each division?
Happy Monday ladies, I hope today is wonderful for all of you and that that little something extra special, blesses your day. Calls would be the top of my list :)
No problem, 4EVERB! I believe that SR's mom is using that last name as her screen name, unless she has changed it--which we ask all to do if that is the same name as your SR's name. But yes....we have to keep SRs' last names off of here. Thanks for deleting so quickly! You can private message that mom and get to know her!
Ladies, I apologize but I deleted my message from this morning. I keep forgetting that even though we are in a group, it is still NOT PRIVATE. I mentioned a friend of my son's last name, and THAT'S A NO NO...Thank you so much to my sister that was so kind to inboxme.. I really appreciated that.. Still Love u all, and guess what, there still aint a thing u can do about it... :)
Dee: If you have retired military cards, you should be able to get on base without a problem....or without being on the list---which is nice if there are others who need to be on your list. But to make sure, call the Public Affairs Office on Monday....847-688-2405 and doublecheck with them. Don't think there will be a problem!
WhitneysMom: If there is a change in her PIR date, she will call you. They have to do that. I would just hold tight for now. If the decision has been made to hold her back, you should get a call tomorrow so keep your phone handy. Hoping that maybe it is incorrect news? If it is correct though, keep your original form letter/password. You will need to contact the PAO before her PIR to get the new password for that group, and they will ask you for the old one. So don't discard the letter!
Please post on here and let us know what happens....prayers for all....
If she is moved back to the PIR 09/28 group, here is the link to join:
Ok. So I have gotten the unofficial word that due to my daughter's illness and hospital stay she will be delayed a week. By unofficial I mean by another mom on here who received a call from her daughter that is friends with my daughter. I'm assuming this is pretty official though since they are in there and we are out here.
Anyway.....does anyone know if the Navy will notify me of the change or am I just supposed to wait for a letter from my daughter? Grrr....so frustrating but the good thing is she is better and will still be continuing on.
I'll probably stay on here but will need to find the group of moms that are from her new division. Not that I know what division that is. I hope she will get to still be in a 900 division.
