Finally got my letter today, but let me say, it want what I was expecting. He seems to hate bootcamp. Says it sucks :( He is happy to be part of the 945 division and cant wait to surprise his family when he plays the drums at PIR but other that, he seems so unhappy! Made me cry all day. Idk if he has even gotten my letters yet. He didnt say. Today was supposed to be happy but I cant be knowing that he isnt. What do I do? :(
Kellie: You are doing the right thing....because every so often, a call comes in from another Chicago area code. So we recommend that you answer all calls during bootcamp....just in case! Just hang up quickly when it's not your SR! :-)
Yesterday when I heard my son had called his girlfriend I thought - well maybe he called my home and I wasn't there - so I went through all of the missed calls. There was one from Texas - and I thought - well maybe he borrowed someone's phone (I know...that wouldn't happen, but to a kid sick mom...) - so I called the number - ARGGHHH - I knew that number.....NO - I didn't want to talk to that person - I was avoiding their calls - Anyway - had to talk to the person I had been avoiding - but at least I got it out of the way. Was pretty funny actually.
Yay, I was afraid you guys would forget who I was lol. The good thing is I think the kids in my class like me. I know they do when I take them out for recess lol.
Thanks so much for the order ;-)
The area code you should see when your SR is calling is 847.
Lala, we missed you greatly! :) I ordered my ribbon today. YAY!!!!
I did that too Kellie, and then once I knew who they were I saved their number in my phone so I could end the call without answering when they called again. Call like this are really bad in an election year.
OMG< what a stressful week this has been. I finally feel like I can breath lol. I am so sorry I have not been here much this week. The first week of school has been so hectic. So glad tomorrow is Friday. I am going to try and catch up on all the posts now before I have to cook dinner. I hope you all have had a good week. I know you missed me lol.
I think I have answered more stupid calls from unknown numbers, sales calls, you've won stuff calls etc then I ever would before not knowing what the number is going to come up when my SR calls :) ha ha.
Got my letter...YAY! He's doing great! He says, thanks to JROTC and his mean recruiters, he's able to stand at attention and has no problem with the PT. The bandaids were a life-saver the first few days. Thanks N4M!
