WELCOME TO PIR 09/21/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Whitney's mom - I will pray for a quick recovery for your daughter!
KellieW that is a great idea to record it. I wonder how we could do that

I think that is a wonderful idea to forward the calls, I am sure that she'll just want to talk to someone.  Maybe there is a way he could record the conversation for you so that you can listen to it over and over again.  I understand knowing they only get 1 basically real conversation you don't want to miss it for the world.

Whitney's mom, so sorry to hear about your daughter.  Hope you get answers quickly, eat up the conversation though.  Thanks for the heads up.

I am a wreck thinking about the possibility that my SR will call while I am at work! I am getting anxiety over it because I want to talk to her so badly and I want to be there for her if she is having a hard time. My BF suggested forwarding my cell to my father's cell during those hours so that she has the opportunity to speak to family (her Papa would be her next favored after me). He says this way she can hear words of encouragement just in case she needs them. What are your thoughts moms?

WhitneysMom:  I'm so very sorry....poor thing....I know she wants nothing more than to have her mom there with her right now.  Hoping that they diagnose her soon, get her on the proper medication, and let her out of that hospital!  In the meantime, hoping for lots of calls!    Prayers for all....
