My SR; Ship 4 Div 303
Welcome to all our new members from yesterday! Looking forward to more today!
Lala: Congrats to your sailor! That is wonderful news! I know you are so proud of her! Thanks for explaining it, Craig!
OMG Craig, you just made my day, that is awesome news, I am super proud of her and so excited as well. I just wish I was there to give her a huge Hug :-) I know she tests next month for PO3. She is now an AOAN so I think if she passes that test she should be an AO3. Right? I can't even express how excited I am :-) Also, do you have a pic of the boot camp ship the Constitution? That is where she was in boot camp and I am trying to gather stuff for a scrapbook for her.
Diannep and Craig, I cannot describe how grateful I am for your wonderful comments about the ribbons I make. I put a lot of love into each one and I really appreciate your comments. I will have to tell my Sailor I got 5.0 as well lol. Thanks so much.
All - I totally agree with what diannep says. Lala's ribbons are "EP" too! On a scale of 0 to 4.0, she's a 5.0. They are the best of the best. You won't find any better, that's for sure. Outstanding!
Lala - Outstanding! On a scale of 4.0, she was ranked between 4.0 and 5.0. She is the best of the best.
It's kind of similar to when kids are in high school. You can have a kid get straight "A" by taking basic math, underwater basket weaving, English as a second language. All of which would be 4.0.
Then you have kids taking Organic Photonics and Electronics, AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and English III Honors. The high school will rank those as 5.0 classes. It sets them apart.
With that "EP" (early promote), she is allowed to take the advancement test 1 year early.
She should be really proud (as should you).
Outstanding!
You're right, I wanted the Asian zing to come through. I totally space out that Chinatown here in the US can do it. The cost would be equal since the shipping and labor would equal out. It's just my old age sneaking through. Sometimes you forget that a lot of these embroidery shops here in the US are run by people from Asia. Just like the dry cleaners, or the Asian food restaurants. I need someone that grew up in that culture to do it. They know all the "Good Luck" signs.
