N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

krislix:  Hall of Fame flag is the ultimate flag!  My son's division received it when he was at Bootcamp and they were so excited!  Here is the link to the info on the flags they can earn in Bootcamp:

Got a phone call from my SR 13/363.  The division is doing great!  Up for a flag that is rarely given (Hall of Fame or something like that)

Good Morning!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Is your recruit flying out to another base for A-school on PIR weekend? If so, and you plan to meet them before their flight, you need to take the steps now to make sure you are able to find him/her at the airport. In the past we have had families in a panic because they don't have any info. They sometimes don't even know which airport to go to. I made this Flight Info Card and sent to my Sailor and I think it will help you as well. Just write it all on an index card and send it to your recruit. Have them keep the card and fill it out when they get their itinerary. Then at PIR make sure they get it and give it to you before you leave the base for liberty. You don't want to end up at the wrong airport. Mail this on an index card to your recruit.

Please fill this out when you get your final orders and then give it to us at PIR. Do not mail it.

SoCalNavyMom,

Your SR/Sailor won't find out their first duty station until about 3 weeks before their A school graduation.  It they are 1st or 2nd in their class, they are supposed to able to pick their assignment, but that also depends on what availability the Navy has at that time~~

My son wrote that he loved me Tongan. Every letter is full of maturity. Yup, this was "Hell Week" curious as to how it went. He found out A School is only 16 weeks. He's happy at that. Fire fighting is next and he can't wait.

Blessed. Thank you my Lord.

Does anyone know when our SR's find out where they'll be stationed?
