N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Ok question Is there such thing as writing your SR too much? How often do you guys send cards and letters to your SRs. They won't get in trouble or have extra PT if they get a white envelope everyday will they?

Coedy is going to Texas! Did anyone hear from our SRs this weekend or yesterday?

navymom:  You can get to PIR early and check out the bathrooms...there are several.  You will be able to sit in the bleachers on the PIR Hall floor...or...in the balcony.  There is only one time during the ceremony when they ask all to remain seated during that time....so you should be free to go if need be other than then.  I would suggest sitting on the end of a row!

I agree shonuff, FB is much easier when you only have a phone to access the internet. I am here and I am there lol, I can't stay away from either one :)

I'm here!! Just working away. I read all the posts from my phone when I am not at work though. I know what y'all are chit chattin about. I actually have a difficult time posting from my phone, it's operator error though :/   But FB is not an issue for me.

I am really bummed that I didn't get a call this weekend. The 27th can't get here quick enough. I just ordered yet another Navy shirt. LOL... This time a tank top, maybe I'll sport it on the plane. I also ordered my hubby a few shirts.

I'm going to start collecting food and hygiene stuff in my neighborhood to send it to the troops. I am a Realtor by trade, so I really try to be active in the areas that I work, and thought ya know I need to start gathering more stuff than I already have to send. I am also a HUGE couponer, and when I say HUGE, I MEAN HUGE!!!! Hahahaha... I have a very large stockpile. I love that my kids, friends and family can come and shop for things at my house. I recently got 40 boxes of cereal for less than $6 and I cannot wait to start sending it out. I give a few boxes to everyone that pops over.

Ok, I am done rambling! Enjoy your Tuesday, ladies :D
