N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning!  Southwest Airlines is having a great fare sale.  Check out fares into Milwaukee (45 min to GL) and Chicago-Midway (hour+ to GL).  Remember, no change fee, 2 bags check for free, and if you have to cancel, ticket is good for a year.

Is there a company that does Division T shirts?  And would any one in div 368 like to see about getting some made?

Ladies,

Most of you will be receiving your letters from your SRs on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  If Monday is a federal holiday, your "Letter Day" will move to 1 day later that week.  So, you can give you mail carrier a break on the earlier part of each week!!  :)

The 4x6 piks are fine to send....but if the envelope is too thick, they will have to open in front of the RDCs.  Also, they have limited storage space so it is better to scan piks on the back of your letters or a separate sheet of paper....collage style.

NicksMom & SoCalNavyMom - its not a matter of if 4x6 pictures are allowed or not - that's what I have been sending too.  Our SR just wants wants pictures that fit into his wallet.

Maureen: I am so excited that you got a letter today. Thanks for sharing the info.

So Call Navy mom,

I have been sending 4x6 pictures and my son has recieved them, Told me to keep them coming. So I am guessing its ok.

I get my mail from Nick On Thursdays. Going camping Wednesday so I will be anxious to get home to read his letters on Sunday. I have written my letters and have my neighbor mailing them daily. So he still gets his letters everyday.
