N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

All is well again.  My SR called (Ship11/366) YAY!

A short call but a great call - lots of information.

P-hold for 6 days, waiting for females to populate the division.

As of yesterday (Friday) they are at Week 1 - Day 4 of Official Boot Camp.

They are a "Push DIV", which he said means, even though they will not go through all 8 weeks of BC (only going through to Week 7 - Day 3) they will still graduate on 9/27.  He said it has something to do with the end of the Navy's fiscal(?) year.

Not getting his first paycheck until the 1st, because of the long P-hold.

Has only had PT once so -far, but he passed his initial swim test and his PFA - YAY.

He sounded GREAT!  Very up and happy!

He said the food is amazing, the peanut butter shot hurt like heck, not getting much sleep cause 82 plus people trying to use 6 ironing boards at night. Lol. He said the div is still trying to come together as a group. Those with wisdom teeth may be getting them pulled next week.

Ship 11 Div 366 is making phone calls. Just got mine from my daughter. So good to hear from her this morning. She sounded great and told me that she had received my letters. So excited and happy!

I just mailed mine one. The mail guy suggested a stamp for $5.60. Tell your SR to take all the letters out of there envelopes and throw away then just put the papers in Manila to return to you. I weighed a hundred sheets of paper and it was about 5.50 in postage Also you can address to and from with your address so the post office will still deliver with postage due if ness.
