Here are a couple of restaurants to look at all three of these were very good.

Wildberrys  in (Libertyville) http://www.wildberrycafe.com/libertyville.html

Good place to eat, very busy, but good food

Trattoria Pomigliano (Libertyville)  http://www.trattoriapomigliano.com/

Excellent Italian restaurant! If you decide to go there to eat make a reservation, tell them Sarge recommended you. Give yourself plenty of time to eat and enjoy.

The Silo (Lake Bluff)     http://www.silopizza.com/

What are some good places to take our Sailors while they're on liberty? What are some good restaurants to eat at?

KTK:  Be sure to join the Pensacola N4Moms groups on here and you can ask your questions there also.  Those ladies would have more detailed answers.

No civilian clothes allowed yet.  They have to phase up in Pensacola before they can wear "civies."  Your sailor will find out about vehicles once there.  Not sure if they can have those right away.  They will go through INDOC (indoctrination) when arriving on the base and that is when they will get all of their info.  You can mail them civilian clothes when they are ready for them.

They usually get leave at the conclusion of A School...once they phase up more, they can also have some weekend leave....meaning that they can travel within a 300 mile (I think!) radius during the weekend.  Again, they will be advised of all of this during INDOC.

When they are done at PIR, i realize they go out in their uniforms but if they are stalled and waiting to go to Pensacola can we bring clothes for them or they stay with what they have? and when they get to Pensacola do they get to wear reg clothes? and do they get leave from there? Can they have their vehicles there?

sorry for all the questions, it just started popping in my head :)

Sarge's MeetandGreet is by far the most informative and we hear the best reviews of that one.
