Hello everyone , Well let me start off that everyone that is attending PIR should go to Sarge's meet and greet at Sundance Saloon very informative and he is a wealth of information. This PIR had a total of 1001 sailors. And the ceremony was so very awesome. It was amazing and would not have missed at all. Bring a lot of tissues. We sat up in the balcony and was able to see everything. The floor seat do fill up fast. Get there EARLY we got to the gate at exactly 5am there were cars lined up to go in already.

Being able to see my son and see his smile was the best. We were able to find him in formation zooming in with our camera and then I started waving at him and he started smiling. But he said that when the speaker asked all the veterans to stand he confirmed it was us because his dad is a veteran of the Navy. After PIR he wanted to come to hotel and relax and chat. He is very positive and loved his experience in bootcamp but he is ready to go on to the next part of his journey . Hospital corpsman . They are getting on the bus at 12:30 am but his flight is not until 11:45am tomorrow. So we are meeting him at the check in to give him the cell and computer.

Be ware your sailor is going to be sure he does the right thing because they don't want to get caught. Well that is all I have to say .

Thank you to all of you for the wealth of information and support that you have provided me and my family to get threw the last 8 weeks. If I didn't have this sight to help me I don't think I would have been able to do it. Well goodnight and god bless all the sailors that graduated today. :)

Also, please let us know if any of our "veteran" info was inaccurate so we can keep the future groups properly advised!  Thanks!

Enjoy the airport visits tomorrow and the daytime weekend visits with the GL A School sailors!

Good Morning!  Are some of you seated in the PIR hall now????  I hope so...and hoping others are almost there!  Enjoy this wonderful day!

CeliaB ask at the front desk at the hotel where you are staying they may have one. It's pretty generic, but it will start promptly at 9am and you must be seated by 8:45 if I remember correctly.

is there a schedule for PIR? I thought I saw one somewhere, but can't find it
