I did attend Sarges Meet and Greet and was very glad I did, huge source of information (good food too). Hi Sarge! He is a valuable source of info not only about BC, but the area and what to do when your are there.

I would recommend going to Trattoria Pomigliano if you are wanting Italian food, great place to eat and he is a friend of Sarges too. Make a reservation if you are planning on going, and allow yourself plenty of time to eat and just enjoy.

If your sailor is staying in GL for A School make sure he/she gets Sarges phone number, he is a great help to those at school too. My son and his buddies at school call his taxi service when they want to go somewhere, they even called him with a question as to where something was, he didn't hesitate in helping them.

As a side note to this, if you attend Sarges M&G, please drop a few bucks in the donation jar, he does this from his own pocket every week.

...meant to say:  "the rest of us N4Moms veterans...."  below.

Everyone be sure to see Sarge's message two posts below this.  I hope many choose to go to his MeetandGreet.  We hear rave reviews about it (I believe ellen attended it, but the rest of us N4Moms had PIRs before he started having his MeetandGreet), and he will be able to answer your questions about PIR weekend. MeetandGreet info is at the top of this page,  in the link under the yellow smiley faces.

Safe travel today and remember....be EARLY to PIR!  You won't regret it. This is a fairly large PIR group so there will be lots of traffic.  In car lines by 6, on shuttles between 6:30-7 (they bypass car line).  Some may want to pass by RTC and park in the train station, walking the short distance back to the front gate.  If planning to do this, please do a "dry run" today.

Most importantly, ENJOY!

My son is an IS and will be heading to Dam Neck for A and C school. I am planning to meet him at Chicago airport to bring him his phone, iPod, etc. Assuming that all the IS's will be flying out together, I would be glad to bring phones or whatever to any IS's whos' parents can't go to the airport. I live 2 hours from Chicago, so even if they don't fly out till Sunday I could work it out.

If you have not RSVP to the meet and greet - no problem. I am anticpating over 200 people. I f you have any questions call me at 847-212-0246. M&G is open to all ages since this is a private event. Everyone is welcome. See you all tomorrow night

....and please take your "extras" to PIR since they most likely will get in!  Make sure they have proper ID.  They may have to wait for a little while, but should get in before the ceremony starts (save them seats!).
