OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

So happy for the calls/letters received today!  Aren't they just "the best?"

I got my phone call and I know who my sons bunkmate is. I wish I could talk to his Mom but I know you cant use last names. Can you say where they are from or first name? They are doing ok and hold prayer at night in the bathroom with one SR leading prayer from Misissippi. They do this so it doesn't bother the other SR's that have to stand guard. Said the food is good. He is sleeping fine.

I am feeling very positive right now even though he did well on everything except push-ups, did them wrong. His voice cracked when I answered the phone, so did mine!

Got another letter :) Hoping for a phone call since others got one but nothing yet. He sounds great in his letter though!

I got to talk to my son today, too!!! They earned their division flag, which allowed them to call! He sounds so good! He said the food is good and plentiful. He passed his swim test (the float part was hard b/c he's 5'11 and weighs 128 -- no body fat to help him float). I told him not to get discouraged. He said, "Mom! I'm halfway done! There's no way I would quit now."

I actually called my doctor yesterday and asked for something to calm my nerves. I have never felt so anxious in my life. I pray, I read my Bible...yet still. It's is unusual for me not to have control of my emotions.

The phone call was the best medicine EVER! He begged for more questions and more letters, even though I'm writing at least one a day.

Oh goodness...*sigh*

I got both a call and a letter today, He sounds great though it was hard to hear him. I am congested in my ears and he talks very soft. He passed his swim test, he was worried about it. I think he was quite just so I would talk, he said he misses my voice, never would have though that. He said the shoe's that he got for IT are very uncomfortable, I believe that was one complaint my oldest had as well.

Off to find more tissue's I was holding it mostly together but with my husband gone on a job finding trip and my house being empty... it's kind of hard some days.
Hope y'all hear from your SR soon. Hang in there, we will be able to hug them soon.
