Welcome to PIR 09/28/2012!

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

so glad to see you all getting some some letters, that always makes your heart feel better.

kazzam, you can send me a friend request on here or an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you the link. You can also click on my name and go to my page and look for the "About Me" section and click on my website link there. I will be happy to make them for you and your family as well.

You need to email them and they will email you codes. However, in the letter we got today, our son said the Red Cross gave him a 500-minute phone card.

They have the number and the pin. You get one sheet of fill in the blanks and a sheet with the # and pin. I just filled out the one with the directions on how to use and sent with him.

kazzam:  Lala is the Ribbon Lady!  Does a wonderful job making them for you all.  She should be posting here soon...her photo icon is a pik of the ribbons.  You can then click on her name/photo, go to her page, and message her from there.

Mommabear, what is your SR's ship and div? The cards are emailed to you and you can send them on.

Just recieved our first phone call this afternoon!! So good to hear his voice and he sounds great!! I was so excited, it didn't seem like enough time to ask him all the things I've been wanting to and then have him tell us everything he has been wanting to share also. Side note: can anyone tell me about the callsforrecruits calling cards? Do they actually send cards you send on or just a number with a PIN? I was on that site and couldnt figure it out. Thanks for a reply in advance.

Anyone hear from their 946ers yet? We have not received a letter or a phone call. I'd like to think no call is a good thing but maybe they are doing bad and their getting punished? (Chuckle) I really dislike the not knowing. I'll continue to pray for (my) patience.

Where do we order these ribbons I keep hearing about?
