Casper64, you can post anywhere you are not "restricted" by any means. The main page though is what us "veteran" moms see regularly.
We sometimes can't get around to all the discussion groups (77 division discussions) in all the PIR groups (7-9) as often as we'd like to.
The same questions sometimes gets asked in two or there separate discussion groups in the same PIR, not an issue and we will answer them, but we may miss someone and we don't want that to happen either.
We also like to hear the good things going on like receiving letters, your SR passing a test etc. We miss those too sometimes when we can't get to the all the discussion group right away.
Every single question that is asked is important, every single concern is genuine, and every single member is important to us. We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
So, post away ladies (or gentlemen) you are doing nothing wrong, we just haven't found away to clone ourselves yet.
FTLW... is this the correct space to add comments or post questions. Sorry a little confused as to where is allowed. Sorry for being daft! Thanks for all of your knowledge and help!
Go Navy!
Thanks so much, it went much better than it did in the dream I had about it a couple days ago lol. So, I survived :-) They are a great bunch of kids. I cheated and put their names on the front of their desks so I could call them by name lol. Kids always seem to do better if they think you know their name. I hope everyone had a great day.
Folks - I am not trying to be rude so please don't take it that way when I say this...but please post questions on the main wall of the group hwere for answers. :-) The main wall is for the whole PIR group and then there are division discussions...in addition the Discussion Forum is best used for specific topics.
We veteran moms stay on the main page of the group more...the reason being that we have 7-8 PIR groups running at one time...that means over 50 divisions at one time as well... and that way everyone can see answers for general questions such as these. Many members will not post but read only and may look at the main wall more. I will answer here (the 09/28/2012 DIscussion up above) and post on the main wall as well.
There were questions about the access list.
Access list - Communicate by mail with your SR if you want to discuss the access list. They will finalize it a couple of weeks before PIR.
You must be retired or active duty with a valid ID card for entry to PIR without being on the Access list. You can be a veteran without being retired. Here is a BLOG about it and there is a link to the RTC Websites page for Military atttending PIR at the end of it. I hope that helps.
NEW PAGE ADDED to RTC Website ~ FAMILIES: Military Personnel Attend...
Odd names on the Access list are" normal"! It is a preliminary list.
It is fast and furious during P days they may not have known or had time or heard! Recruits finalize the list a couple of weeks befroe PIR.
We have even seen the dogs name on it!
That being said...
...to all our new members!
This is just a gentler reminder and also for any new members over the last week. no one has done anything wrong... I will usually post it in the beginning weeks like this.
That being said...don't be afraid to post! Our PIR groups are meant to inform and support you! PLEASE don't stop posting about your Recruit and getting letters and calls and stuff like that. Just don't mention specifics. If something is really concerning you and you don't want to post publicly, you are free to friend any of us veteran/seasoned moms and ask privately.
I have been a member of this site for over a year...I don't post my real name, pics or personal info...and I enjoy this site...and feel supported and try to help others. It can be done without giving out personal info.
Yes, it is a bigger one. Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall is designed to hold 14-16 Divisions and their allotted four guests though. LaLa's Sailor had 13 Divisions and she said her extra guests all got into PIR.
We have had 14 and when that happened RTC released a statement about extra guests possibly not getting in and tips for PIR.
