marmee4:  I hope that you stay on this site.  It is now an alumni group and ladies will be dropping back in to share about their new sailors.  So consider staying on and keeping all up to date with your news!

leaving this site now that we are done with 10/5. graduation.  It was amazing, moving, and so exciting to see so many new sailors.  THis site has been a life saver and I extend thanks to team leader for  the help and support.  Now looking to hook up with anyone who has a sailor in A school at Meridian, MS.  I know there are not many, but if you are on here, please let me know.

FTLW. Thanx for all your help and advise thru boot. I've learned a lot and it helped. I sure hope to be able to pass all good stuff I've learned and experienced on to the other moms that can use the shortcuts and knowledge
What a ride of fun and tears this weekend has given our family

Congratulations to all of you and your SAILORS!!!

If any of you got pictures of the 900 division, flag bearers, drill team, band etc, would you please post some of the pictures here? There are SRs in those "groups" who have PIR next week and the following week, and I am sure their loved ones here would like to see if they can get a glimpse of their SR.

nebraskamom:  Head out to the airport....you may be able to get there before the busses arrive.  Yes, parents can go to the airport.  Don't know why they say that.  Only those on a charter flight cannot go.

So go on out there and keep your phone handy.  She may borrow someone's cell and call you.  USO is past security, but I know that you will be able to connect with her.  Good luck!

I found the number. 773-582-5852. This is the Midway USO
Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on October 5, 2012 at 10:03pm

You CAN go to the Airport. It will take abut 60-70 minutes with no traffic to get there. It is not a huge airport. Midways USO is past security so no you can't get there without her. If she still has a calling card from BC maybe she will rememebr and try to use it to call you?

But since it is in C I would go there as that is possibly where she will wait for her flight. Calling Sarge is a help too!

I will keep it in my prayers but I am sure it will work out. Please let us know!

My Sailor (feels good to say that) is also going to Pensacola. I think the flight leaves about 1:00. You can get to the USO room but check online before you quote me on that. We were planning to meet up there too but we are flying out of O'Hare.

I'd call Sarge.  He seems to know all of the ins and outs of situations around here.  Phone:847-212-0246.  Good Luck!
