Also, although division numbers have dwindled some, they may go back up a bit as "asmoed(setback)" recruits are put into new divisons to resume their training.

pastorMom: My son had used the same terminology "prison" when he was in bc. But that will change as he is getting closer to the turnaround in bc where things are better, not so much screaming, and they then have PIR in focus. The second half of bc is so much better than the first, although there is still alot of pressure to pass tests, etc.

Remember, you may get a "down" letter, and by the time you receive it, things are much better ! The ups and downs of bc!

Ricky: If calls were cut short, it is all up to the RDC's. Sometimes there is just very limited time. I remember my son cutting off in mid sentence saying, Gotta go...bye. When the NAVY SPEAKS, RECRUITS LISTEN! HA!

It is so worth it to read through the pages that Elaine mentioned on 8/27. You will see those precious moms in action to help get another mom to PIR who had to use her PIR money on a car repair. In the end, one mom was willing to drive about 3 hours (each way) to pick the mom up, have her stay at her house last night, and then take her the other 4 hours to PIR today. So heart warming! Worth a read to see just how far ladies on these groups will go for each other!
Although the mom in distress decided not to take up her offer and is not attending PIR, just seeing those ladies in action was wonderful!

Good morning, all!

Ok, moms. If you want to see what we are in for, go to PIR 8/27. There are at least 25 pages of sheer craziness. Most of it is good. This will be us in a few weeks. Also, no letter yet but I feel like Scarlett O'Hara "Tomorrow is another day." I hope he gets to call this weekend. I'm afraid I will scream if I find a letter and my neighbors will think I've lost my mind. Make wake up any sleeping dogs in a five mile radius. I have got to get to bed. Will be back in the morning.

does anyone know why their calls got cut short today?

Thank you, I am excited about this whole deal and for my son who has wanted this and talked about this and watched video and educated me so much in what he wants and hopes to do.

Hi all,
Got a letter today! Was a little on the down side. He said "It's worse than prison here." But he obviously wrote a girl-not the GF, and she got a letter today, and the GF has not received a letter, so he is in big trouble with the GF! Sounds a little like Jr. high doesn't it? But I probably would be mad too, if I hadn't received the letter. So hope all those letters keep coming. Keep sending those prayers, too. My son also said that they started with 100 people in the division and now the only have 70. There may be lots of other moms and wives and significant others sad tonight. Love to all...
