N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Edie,

There must be some sort of convention going on to charge those rates!  No need to stay at that one.  The Holiday Inn Express Waukegan/Gurnee link that diannep provided has rates in the $120's and is great!!  Plenty of restaurants around, the Super Walmart, and the Gurnee Mall is an easy 10-15 min. drive away~~  Also, RTC is about 10 min away.

mariecb,

On the 70 Coins section, after all the ships coins, there is a Questions and Answers section with an "Ask a Question" in blue.  Click on that to contact Craig to let him know you paid and which coin's name and item # you want.  Be sure to refer to your eBay user name so he can connect the funds with the coin~~

lenrose,

Choose the Challenge Coin specifically connected to your SR's ship.  The full name of the ship is in parentheses up above next to the ship no. that you have been writing to your SR at.  They are $18.99 by themselves, no shipping charge.  The velvet box is nice, but unnecessary.  I just put the coin, which is in a small zip bag in a small white cardboard giftbox to give to my Sailor daughter!

The story of the Challenge Coin is on a video that you can see when you click on any coin at www.pirgifts.com  .  The ones related to their rating (job) are not given until they are almost complete with their A school.  These are found in the 70 coin section and they are engraveable.  Usually you put their name and graduation date on those.

Try using the prepaid card first to see if it will go through.  If not, email Craig through the Contact the Seller/Ask a Question link in the middle of the listing.  He is real good about getting back to you quick!

I paid for the "core" values coin but do not know how to message the person to tell him this is the coin I want.  Can anyone help?!

Wow. Guess the Holiday Inn is pretty booked for them to quote such a high rate. The average room rate i found on orbitz for the Holiday Inn 2 weeks ago was $135.00 a night. I have friends in the hotel industry so i ended up getting a friends & family rate of $95 for a king size bed. Can't believe they have gone up a whole $100 dollars a night from their regular rate. That is crazy!!

Do I need an ebay account to purchase a coin? Will they accept prepaid cards as payment?
