Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hi Friends!

Boocoo that is so great! I know you had to be on cloud 9 to get that extra time together. It is wonderful to see how well this weeks challenges turned out.

Edie. I was going to look online but ended just asking the waitress at hotel how it all works. She was very helpful but did not have the times they travel. I would just Google GL train times and see if a schedule pops up but be careful with weekend & weekday schedules. I looked at the weekday schedule and rushed to get one that was an hour early than the correct time but we still got back to A school on time. Left Chicago at 7:30 and made it to the gate by 8:45 pm. Plenty of time for my son to check back into school.

Thank you everyone. We just got home from the airport, then dinner with other Navy Mom's and families. Our son flew to his A school and was in superb spirits.

MCEastcoast, our son was also very punctual and concerned about being back to his ship on time last night. He had watch for a couple of hours. I enjoyed watching the changes in him!!!!! Glad you had a nice day with your Sailor!!! :)
