~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

That is great news, Lala!
Happy Friday!!
"Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the One who sustains me."
Psalm 54:4
lol Diannep, I am still waiting on him to have time to fix it but I am getting lots of hugs and cuddle time. I am also fattening her up lol :) She was so tiny and is now finally growing.
Good Morning All !
boocoo: A busy but exciting time for you all. Safe travel as you make this move!
Lala, sure hope that as you are hugging that little baby, your son in law can get the bug out of your computer!
fitness123: I agree with CatMom....the feelings are so up and down during bootcamp. We are used to cell phones/computers and instant contact and so that makes it doubly hard. I know it probably has always been hard for families with their loved ones at bootcamp, but I guess years ago before cell phones/computers, and when hard-line long distance calls were very costly, families knew they would just have to wait for letters and they may not have arrived that often. How blessed we are now to know that it won't be long before you all are back in contact with them through the "instant contact" venues (once they are at A School!). For those missing their SRs so much, just hang in there....that letter/call is coming soon!
fitness123,
That feeling comes and goes and seems to come when we are still and alone with our thoughts. Maybe the letter is delayed for whatever reason and you'll get one Friday! You're not alone in this~~
MCEastcoastmom,
Oh, such a blessing to hear that your SR is back on track and uplifted now!!
I am so sorry I have been MIA, not only am I babysitting my new grand baby but my computer is possessed :( pop-ups have taken over and I get about 10 or 15 min on here and then have to shut it down. Very frustrating, especially when I use it for my business. My SIL is an IT so he is supposed to try and fix it tomorrow. I sure do hope he can. I can't take it any more, ready to throw it out the window of a speeding car lol but I do not want to buy a new one so keep your fingers crossed. An IT for the Navy should be able to make it all better and get rid of the viruses!!! Right? I hope all of you are having a much better week :)
boocoo - good luck with your move, I hope everything goes as planned
Ok, well thanks all. That explains the guest list. We only have 3, so it's all good.
Had a great letter today. He is much more upbeat!!! He has a job and said he will get something that goes on his collar for it? Not sure what that meant?
Ok ladies, I will be out of pocket for a couple of days now. We leave early in the morning to move to our new home. It's about 1000 miles and two states away!!! So happy!
