~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Like ellen said, it is under "pages" up and to the right....under the MEMBERS PHOTO BOX.
LalaRibbonQ- So glad your mother is feeling well! I had something similar happen to one of my family members as well.:)
jen, Under the "pages", which is directly below the member icons, is a link to the questionnaires.
I remember seeing some sample questionnaires to sent to your SR. This site is so big I keep loosing things I want to go back to. Thanks for any info.
Lala Ribbon Queen. Glad to hear things are looking up for your mom. Last spring we had a similar problem with my mom. She woke up in the morning and was looking for her kangaroo. We can laugh about it now but it was a scary situation at the time. And yes she needed her meds adjusted.
Lala Ribbon Queen- Very happy to hear that your mother is doing better. I know that had to have been scary even if you've gone thru it before. May she continue to improve. Thank you for staying on here and guiding us Newbies. :)
Good morning everyone, thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers and support for me and my family. My mom is feeling better and acting more normal now. They released her from the hospital last night and we are happy to have her home. Her heart medication dosage was way too high and was part of the problem of her hallucinations and when you combine that with too much carbon dioxide you have one very loony acting person. Poor thing was reaching in the air for bunny rabbits that could fly and was talking to people who were not there. I honestly thought we were loosing her. It is amazing the difference some good doctors and a few days can make. So I appreciate all of you very much. I am so happy I decided to stick around and become a volunteer mentor on this group. You all are my extended Navy Family <3
Good morning all - got my letters (4) yesterday. He was on p-days for 15 days. He is ship 04 division 820. He is doing well - the division started with 96 and they are now down to 81. This Mom is very happy!
I'm hoping you all receive letters very soon - it sure makes the worry, not go away, but become a little less.
Have a great day!
Yep, I agree with proudmama. You will find the letters get more positive and uplifting as bootcamp goes on! It is especially tough at first for them! Many may not let "mamas" know this....they don't want them to worry when times are tough!
Good Morning All !
Jen- the people in the 820 division are a mixture of AIRR,SWCC,SEALs and EOD. I saw your post yesterday about your son's letter. Many times the first letter sounds "down", but improves as the training moves forward. Some very successful people in these rates had a bit of a rough start. Here's to better days ahead!
