N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning All !

Friends,

This scripture is so appropriate for the Battlestations that your SRs will be going through soon.  Perhaps you can share with your SR in a letter now.

             "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name;

              you are mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

              and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

              When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames

              will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One

              of Israel, your Savior..."

                                                                                     Isaiah 43:1b-3a

Hi All!

   "I know that You can do everything,

    and that no purpose of Yours can be

    withheld from You."

                                           Job 42:2

Well thank the Good Lord. I was getting nervous. I am so excited to see my son and meet you all. I have a little extra pep in my step today!

I just called and they had submitted the 801 to be added to webmaster but it just didn't make it. They are going to have it updated. 801 is confirmed for 11/15:)

Sorry Ellen, I didn't mean for that to come out that way, I am grateful for any info.

Comment by ellen0502 on October 29, 2013 at 2:06pm

Since they updated their website, and did not change anything (no they did not add 801), I thought I would post that 4 guests were still allowed. There has been some conflicting information from the RDC's about number of guests, and there has been no change.

Comment by Angie on October 29, 2013 at 1:53pm

Ellen, it has always said 4 on the RTC site it has been our SR's in 007 & 008 that have been told only 3 guest.  I have noticed on the RTC site that they still have not included the 12th div (the 801 div).  Still this only makes 12 thank goodness.

Comment by ellen0502 on October 29, 2013 at 1:39pm

The RTC has updated their graduation information. There are 4 guests allowed at this PIR.

Comment by Angie on October 29, 2013 at 1:04pm

I agree Dianne, because he was adamant about only getting 3 official names, even the petty officer that was there in the background was saying "only 3 names" I said just take the 4th to be on the safe side.
