N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hello, everyone. I did not send my credit card or a personal check with my son to pay for his graduation pictures. It looks like he should be getting them taken this week. Is it true that if they don't buy them this week, we don't have the option to purchase them after PIR? My letters are taking about a week to get to him so even if I sent the payment info today, he won't get it until next week.

I agree with dinnep I've read a lot on here that rdc leaders
Threaten a lot of the srs about how many guest you are allowed to have
And it has always remained 4 guest.
Comment by diannep on October 22, 2013 at 8:30am

GG:  I just don't understand why the RDCs like to "mess" with them about the number of guests allowed.  This happens in every PIR group.  It is never true.  RTC determines the number of guests by division numbers. It is either 3 or 4, never 2.  12 or less divisions in a PIR group get 4 (like this group).  13 divisions or more have 3 guests.  So, no, this is not true.  It still remains 4 guests for this group.  Here is the RTC link to prove it---scroll to bottom of page for your group:

I just received a letter from my son and he mentioned that he no longer can bring for people to PRI he now can only take 2. Has anyone heard this same information from their SR?
Comment by CatMom509 on October 22, 2013 at 3:09am

If you plan on driving to the RTC, a sure shortcut is to drive on the left past the line waiting to turn right into RTC gate, go to the bridge where the train station is, turn around and come back, then you can easily turn left into the RTC gate and get in ahead of all those cars waiting to turn right.  It works every time!  ;)
