Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

He told me to look in his jean pocket(s) as he was going to leave me a note to read. Any ideas on what could have happened to his jeans? Maybe they landed in another box? or maybe he still has them (doubtful) or maybe he donated them to charity? Any ideas from the admins?

Comment by ellen0502 on September 29, 2013 at 10:27pm: There is no brother division in this TG for 901. If there were two 900 divisions (which is not often) in the same TG they would be brother divisions.

Since the 900 division performs for not only their own PIR, but also the two before they do practice for PIR with the two 900 divisions before theirs. They do train on their own since they have the additional duties for the two PIRs before theirs.

Hi GG, welcome! My husband is in the same division SR D(last name removed). I have been waiting all day for a call because everyone I know in their division got a call except me :(
When did your son ship out? Don't 4get to answer Tuesday Trivia on facebook. If our division win th trivia question, we get to request a picture of our sailor division :) US Navy Recruit Training Command on facebook
