I looked for MSI and couldn't find anything except Museum of Science and Industry lol. Maybe someone else will know what it is.
Everyone remember that the time changes Saturday night/Sunday morning for most of us. Still a ferw places that leave it the same all the time. What a concept lol.
Jojo: Here's hoping that he won't call for a couple of days...when hopefully the towers are more consistent with their signal!
Erika: No worries....the letters will be forwarded to the new "ship."
Mike'sMom 09-001- Thats amazing! I can't imagine how proud they all are at that moment.
My cell (the only number my SR will use to call me) is on and off due to towers being in and out - the after math of Hurricane Sandy :( I really hope I don't miss a call :( I will be so devastated....after this week...I really just need to hear his voice.
I heard from my SR today - he said they moved out of the USS Kennedy to consolidate in anticipation of the holiday shut down (?) I'm guessing that means that ALL SRs from the Kennedy are now in the Arizona.
Also, does anybody know what MSI stands for? He mentioned something about that (MSI Grad?) but didn't explain the acronym.
He got the rating he wanted! He is an ET (phone home!) He went on to say that they did a PIR drill in their dress blues - it made him feel very proud and almost like a real sailor! :)
PAMom: We use to be able to post BattleStations dates back in 2010 and part of 2011. But then RTC decided we couldn't do that anymore. The reason being that they want you all to start practicing OPSEC which includes no discussion of ship movement until after the fact...and they want you to consider BattleStations, which is done on a "mock" ship (very realistic!) to be like ship movement during deployment. They asked all not to post the dates on N4Moms or FB....we can only private message them.
Of course, BattleStations is their final test and then they are sailors! Here is the link to explain more about it:
http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir562011/forum/topics/battlestati...
Erika: Brother divisions (which can include integrated divisions) train together...and do BattleStations together. The only thing that is separated with integrated divisions is their barracks.
SEA's mom - THANK YOU for the info. I was super worried.
LaLa - thank you...compared to the pics I see on the internet and TV...we were soooo fortunate!
