ok ladies.... here is a question. What is the best way to get from O'hare airport to my hotel ( the marriott in waukegan)?? I do not want to rent a car. should I get a cab?
I havent really talked to alot of you ladies from this group but my SR is my boyfriend not My son ;) which is probably why I get the mushy lovey letters ;)
**ONLY 3 MORE FRIDAY!!!!!!!**
Lala ...ur funny...but i like it! ...Lala the storm chaser
Hello ALL..
I received 3 envelopes yesterday addressed to me so everyone in the house was a lil jelly (jealous) but... they didnt realize each envelope was filled with several letters for everyone in the house...so I was their personal mail man/woman :) so we were all doing the HAPPY DANCE....yay!!
He mentioned a few things...thanks for clearing up what Marlinspike was ...cause he mentioned starting that.
He answered on a questionaires about how they are working together?...he rated his division a 4 (10 being the best) He says that it's worrying him. Hopes as a division they can get it together soon.
He did also say they received the Scholastic Flag ??? anyone know what that is?
The last thing that spoke about was ...Does anyone know whats it mean when someone is nominated for Honor Board??
I'm glad everyone is getting letters...a call would be amazing right now...but we do only have 3 more Fridays to go!! happy dance!!
oh btw...My SR also mentioned a Family Day the night before PIR... Would be amazing if that were true :)
Gabby, I'm sending up prayers for healing for your stepmom and praying for you and your family's strength to get through whatever it is you all are facing. God Bless You!!
Good morning everyone, So my Sailors ship came home yesterday YAY!!! I am of course in VA visiting her and so happy to see her but showered her with hugs instead of licks and tail wagging she received from her babies lol. This summer our Sailor came to FL to meet us for vacation and we were were all greeted with Tropical storm Debby. And now I am in VA to welcome my Sailor home and the weather channel is calling for what could be "The perfect storm." So depending on where this storm decides to go I may have to go home to NC a day early. I also have a daughter in college at UNC Wilmington so we have that concern as well. And what is waiting for me at home? The possibility of a snow storm :-0 Maybe I should change my name from Lala the Ribbon Queen to Lala the storm chaser lol.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and I hope you are not in the path of this "perfect storm"
Gabby, your family and your recruit are in my thoughts and prayers. Several of us and other moms on this site have had to make that same kind of decision and I know it is hard. My Sailor and i did talk before she went to bootcamp and agreed no bad news during bootcamp. So when her great aunt (my aunt) who lived next door to us the whole time my Sailor was growing up passed away unexpectedly i decide not to tell my Sailor until after PIR. It is a hard decision and I am sure you will do what is best for you and your recruit.
paula, I am not sure why we are all of sudden we are getting so many recruits saying this. I mean we have had rumors of it before but never this many in one group. And it was just rumors and never happened. We will just have to wait and see what is going on. Normally I would say no, that doesn't happen but with the changes of no longer allowing extra guests into PIR maybe they are making other changes as well. I wouldn't get my hopes up and I would not "expect" it to happen but at this point who knows. Just know if things do change and you get that privilege then it would be a very good thing :-)
