If they get too many hits on something, they can fail and have to redo. Other times, a hit may just mean that they have to do "IT" (Intensive Training). It can cause them to be evaluated lower too. It is kind of a like a bad grade....
Inspection points in the 20s means that they are getting graded lower because of "hits"....they can't even have a string on their uniform without taking a hit....don't worry, they all come together and learn what it takes to not get the hits.
Yea, i dont know either...waiting to go home to read what he says in my letter. some details would be nice.
any verteran moms know?? ... just fishing..
Lala you'll be getting my order soon too...I just need to find out how many I need
So my daighter said mail came and she opened hers and she said this letter sound a bit depressing...or at least ot looks like he wrote it while he was down...my SR told her his division is having a really hard time working together... something about not all are putting their all in to it...inspection points in their 20's?? idk what that means.
uurrgg...I wanna go home and read my letter....4:30pm yet???
PAmom, I am sure I got your order for ribbons. At least I got an order yesterday from a mom in the same city as you :-) So you did it right and I appreciate your order.
Thanks Mike'sMom. Hopefully my son has been going. I'll be sure to tell him about it.
My son said he has been attending a Bible study class, and felt that it has been very helpful in keeping his perspective and staying positive.
Hi ladies! I hope everyone is having a blessed day:-)
HeatherT, Amen! My SR wrote that it could be difficult sometimes to stay prayerful with all the swearing and attempts to "break down morale" as he put it. I told him to continue to talk with Jesus because he's faithful and always there, even when he doesn't think so. Has anyone's SR attended the Chapel church service? If so, how is it?
You can take your new sailors some civilian clothes and it is up to them if they want to keep them or have you mail them later. They take about 3 weeks to phase up and be able to wear them, so they have to put them away until then. It is best to take whatever you think your sailor would like and bring home anything he/she didn't want. Since none of this is allowed at RTC, these must be given to them at the airport before they leave for A School...or....after they have moved over to GL A School base, had liberty...they can return with phones/electronics/clothes then (if not allowed, they will be told during the move, but they are usually allowed these things).
PAMom: SO sorry about your mom. It is so hard to lose a parent and see them suffer beforehand. My dad has Alzheimers very bad (about 11 yrs now) but my mom/caregiver still take care of him at home. He is physically healthy so able to get out and about some with them...but is like a toddler in his actions and responses. So sad to see this...he had such a smart engineering mind, owning his own company back in the day...my prayers are with those who have ailing parents, etc.
MikesMom: Shark is usually when the SRs have to lie on their bellies like they are swimming and say: Please don't eat me...(forgot the words)...my son said when he was there, they had to sing a song about it while "swimming" on their bellies.
