For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks everyone, yes, the scouts were found, they had to use a helicopter to find them. They were all fine and didn't need any medical treatment. The rescue worker who wrecked his 4-wheeler has a broken back. No word yet on his condition so please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers. All the rescue workers are volunteers and do a great job helping out strangers.
I spent most of the day yesterday designing the Navy themed tote/purse and kindle/E-reader covers. They came out really cute. I know several moms on this site have been asking about these for a couple of weeks and I am posting the pics to my facebook page now so if you want to see more pics you can look at them there. here are a couple pics for now. I hope you like these :-)
I must dash away now lol to get some more ribbons finished and in the mail today.

Bravo Zulu 801 and HOOYAH!!! 007!!!!! Good job baby boy!!! I'm slightly packed but sure I'll be forgetting something. Boarding passes are printed, need to remember my SRs cell phone and charger. Also need to print out directions - although my wonderful riding buddy (who I am NOT forgetting) is bringing a Tom Tom!!
ProudMom - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your SR. He WILL pass today - I just know it!!
Jo - I have a good friend in Kenosha - in fact we are making a brief stop on the way to GL to drop off a gate pass for him and to say hi. I warned him it will be very brief because I'm too excited to check in and get to the Meet and Greet!

Ribbons packed beside my red scarf. God only knows what else I threw in my suitcase. I just hope something matches.....

Woohoo 007!! I will be on the plane tomorrow when the Sailor call comes so hopefully he calls my husband. Not packed yet but I know what I want to pack, so getting a little closer. Dont think I will be very effective at work today, oh well.
