Good info flowing here. MANY THANKS to you veteran moms for keeping us semi-sane and informed. Can you imagine those folks who aren't on this site and know nothing more than what their SRs may or may not share or how they interpret the basic form letters, etc? Oiy...I"m SO glad to have this forum and all of us to sound off to. You GET it......

@Jenn: laugh at me, will ya? :-p   I figure if one can drive in Orange County/LA traffic, anything else is a cake walk. My biggest thing is what's going to happen after PIR. We won't know how to juggle more time with our SRs (going to the airport, etc) with our own flights home.......  

 

Oh think of the stories we can tell once we're all home.......

Yes you can, AZKmom.  In the NEX.  AND, the message about BattleStations won't be in your inbox unless another mom from your division sends one.  If I send out a MESSAGE TO GROUP with dates, it will be in your PERSONAL emails, possibly spam/junk mail files.  I will always post here when I send out.  Still not sure of dates so haven't sent another one out.

dianne - I'll friend you with a message about the date that my SR threw out at me for BS - but I took it with a grain of salt in that I don't think he really knew - it sounded to me like he was speculating.  But I'll give it to you and you can use it against what other info you have.

Waiting..waiting..waiting too AZK, my son said he thought his was on a certain date but didn't know for sure.  He was talking so fast it was hard for me to remember everything he said.  He did say firefighting today and gas chamber tomorrow.

I haven't had a letter in a couple of weeks so I don't know if he ordered division t shirts or photos.  I just want to verify that if he hasn't done so, I can still do it after PIR?  

 

I keep hoping when I sign on here I will see a message in my inbox with Battle Stations info.....sigh.....soon.  I printed off a couple of gate passes as well today!

Kendra, you probably can call Photographic Services to see if she ordered them.  It would be worth a try!  If she ordered them and paid for them, she will get them from her ship after PIR and bring them to you.  If they aren't paid for, you do that in the NEX after PIR.

Jenn:  My thoughts exactly!  He was FOCUSED on other things!  :-)  After PIR in the NEX is where you order all of that.  Get ready...it is a bit crowded in there, but of course worth it!

I saw the Black Friday talk - unless you are going to the mall or driving around a mall I can't imagine that traffic is going to be that bad.  I mean it's Chicago so my guess is that it's a pain either way but I don't think you are going to hit really bad traffic due to Black Friday.  Of course I could be 100% wrong - but I'm going the other direction so hahaha.
