Tried to get his Father on speaker phone so they could talk to each other first...but he wouldn't answer my call so HIS loss HA!  But I did get my grandfather on speaker phone, and the 3 of us got to talk for 15 min...

@Jenn, mine hasn't passed his running either because of his knee...but swimming and sit ups and pushups are passed...I'm sooo glad they are bunkmates!!!

Something went funky with my message... Oooops.  So, if Div 008 is doing so well, why haven't they been able to call home???

Comment by Diana(PO3/IT3) on October 25, 2011 at 4:51pm

Yes Cheryl....she sounded good. Guarded, but good. As moms, we know the real scoop from just a few words..... I think had we had more time to talk we both would have broken down in tears - as I am about to now. Gosh I miss my girl! I cannot wait until the 23rd to hug her again - just to see her process into the hall will be a godsend!  Tuesday evening you all - MY ROOM for stories and libations - or hot tea to send us off blissfully to sleep before THE big day!

@watson: Sweet that you got your call yesterday. This must be the week for that! :-)

@Jenn: 20 minutes!! LUCKY YOU! I guess my daughter's time was taken up trying to find a live person to speak with :-(  I didn't hear our 007 group was in trouble a lot. Hmmm. Maybe she just didn't want to discuss it? By her first letter, it sounded like they hadn't had any demerits at all....but that was her group she was in charge of. Ah well, guess we'll hear all about it soon!

I knew it was yours but didn't want to say too much till I knew u got to talk to urs too...mine was put in charge of something...but he has gotten cellulitis in the knee???? He's on antibiotics and the Dr said the swelling my not go all the way down but he should be fine in days...so needless to say my SR will be in the general formation, in the back, on the right...nearest MEEE at PIR!!!
Comment by Ship12 Div 008 (Cheryl -CBs Mom) on October 25, 2011 at 4:46pm

@aloha- laugh... I think its so awsome that someone on here is your son's bunkmate.  Isn't that neat N4Ms brings THEM together, too!

Comment by Jenn (Proud AO Mom) on October 25, 2011 at 4:45pm
Oh my gosh - that was the best 20 minutes ever!!!  My boy sounds good.  They made him a section leader - when I told him congratulations he was all "nope, no, uh uh - that means that I get in trouble when other people mess up."  All you 008 moms - he says that "brother div does everything right" so your kids are doing good.  He didn't have to have any teeth pulled right now so he was thrilled.  He likes the food.  He's slow on his run and I told him speed it up because he better graduate on time!  Alohagirl - our boys are bunkmates.  He says your son is really cool - and they think we are goofy for sending them "surveys."  This is the best day ever!!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of you to get your calls soon!

Thank you for sharing that, Diana.  I'm so glad you got your call!!!  And what a blessing that you even get to hear her message over and over!!!  She sounded good???
