I'm happy to report that my daughter has finally received verbal orders to leave GL and head to San Diego. She will be attending C School there and thinks she'll be there 2-3 years on shore duty.  She's frantically trying to pack all the stuff she bought in Chicago over the last year. She'll be sending her winter clothes to me to store.  Once she gets settled and everything is written in stone (is it ever with the Navy?) she wants to get an apartment there so we'll have to make plans to get the rest of her stuff to her. I'm storing all kinds of furniture, dishes, pots and pans, etc.  She also wants to get a car.  I reminded her today that I'm still holding the money I got when I sold her car a year ago. She was pretty happy about that.  Can you believe it's been over a year now since our kids left for bootcamp? Now they're all grown up and on their own.  I'm so proud of all our kids for everything they've accomplished and the incredible men and women they have become.  I wish the best for all of them and I keep our military in my prayers.

Hey Moms, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to our MEN AND WOMEN..and us. Gosh, if I think back to this day a year ago it would have me crying crocodile tears on the job. But it's been a blessing to have our Navy people remain safe and PRAYED FOR..bless and keep them in your daily prayers..especially those at combat..Come home soon...safely. Had to go back and play catch up this morning...Thanks StarChild for keeping me posted. I will visit that sight for the young man who loss his family. How tragic..I pray the Lord lifts him and his family during this time.

Ladies, it brings JOY to my heart to read about all that our young people have accomplished in this one year...Lyle has to keep reminding me that he's a man and punishing me by not calling everyday as he used to. But that just let's me know..hey mom I'm fine and I GOT THIS...as he always says. My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting him in Los Angeles...he had a 4 day liberty..we celebrated his dad's 50th with our LA family and it was very special. He has really developed his body (the little rut) in the name of getting tatoos. Lord if I see another tatoo on his arm I'm gonna scream...so he gets there where I cant see...what's up with that? Anyway if that's all I have to complain about I'm doing good. God is blessing me that he's safe..

Labmom, Lindalav, Starchild, Andrea, Shana, and others... thanks for keeping in touch ladies you all are a special group of friends. Most of us have never met but we are sisters in spirit and faith.. devoted to the common goal of praying for our young people. So as we all celebrate this new year..I pray that we continue to lift up our young men in women in prayer keeping them safe wherever their travels take them....WE also remain, healthy, safe, and prosperous in Jesus name.

God bless and love you guys, take care...

Hats off to all of our sailors for their year of service. They have all come such a long way and learned so much. I know how proud we all are of each and every one of them. Here's to another great year!

Happy Anniversary to us! It has been one year since our children left us to go to bootcamp. I am glad we are still keeping in touch.

I will be going to the site today. This is so tragic and my heart goes out to our Sailor.

Since I last posted I have lost my father, cousin and aunt. I have been to 6 states, 6 cities in 3 days since we honored my father at the National Cementary. My sailor spoke at dad's service and I cried my eyes out. He is named after my dad.
