WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Here is a chart of the COC at RTC (Chain of Command):

Click to open in another page and zoom.

Here is the link to RTC website that explains all the RPO positions (Recruit Petty Officers):

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/recruit_petty_officer.asp

Here is a pic of a Collar Device(I belive there are a different number of Chevrons depending on their postition) that the RPO's wear:

On the Chart RCPO(Recruit Chief Petty Officer) = ARPOC, RLPO(Recruit Lead Petty Officer = AROC

But it is too hard to yell... "RRRRCPO or RRRRLPO get your ________ in here"...So ARRRRRRPOOOC and ARRRRROC it is.

These positions are just for the duration of Boot Camp

Debbie, that is very funny! Glad you got a call!

Comment by 1Sailor/1Marine on October 25, 2012 at 5:33pm
Had to laugh when I read your post, Debbie! Cause my son is "mailman" for his Div! I was wondering whether to say anything because of all the discussion about mail, but since you were brave enough to bring it up then I guess I can be too!
Comment by Knittycat10 on October 25, 2012 at 5:10pm

I didn't get any mail yet :( neither did my boyfriends mother, or anyone else in his family :(

Comment by Debbie on October 25, 2012 at 5:05pm

Just got a call from my son!!!! He sounds great. Worried though, he says his knee hurts. That scares me.

Funny, I was so worried about the mail not getting to him, really mad that it wasn't. Guess who's processing the mail? Yep, my son! Told him I called him a few choice words! How funny.

Comment by ellen0502 on October 25, 2012 at 4:54pm

From the looks of it in the discussion groups, it appears any "mail issues" have been resolved. Yippee for all of you who have received letters!!!!

Happy Bunny
