WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Gabby-navy wife - Your son is fine :-)
Children age 12 and under do not have to be on the Access List and do not count towards the four allotted for the Access List...which means 12 and under are "freebies".

I need some advice! My fiance/ SR usually helped me make decisions, considering we were in it together. But idk what to do, and no idea when i can talk to him. My lease is up in our apartment on the 31st. and there has been some difficulty and i cant renew it. Some of my options include moving back in with my mother (same city) but i would be on the couch, in her two bedroom townhome with my sister and her two kids. Or i could move to ohio (i live in nc) and live with my Dad. My job is transferrable so thats not a problem. I have no children, (just a cat, which i would have to find a place for if i went to my moms) I dont know what to do. any advice?

Thank you, Bugsmama! I am so happy to have that letter, and have read mine multiple times, too. Relieved to know he is taking it in stride and feels confident he is doing well. He's in Div 023 and only mentioned his group getting on trouble once - for talking in the passageway. One hour of IT, said it was brutal.

I think they said 845 to about 7-8

Navy sister. I have a 6 month old son he will be 7 1/2 months at graduation time. Does that mean I won't be able to take him into the drill hall with me?
Comment by navysister02/903 on October 24, 2012 at 10:56pm

an announcement for 30 NOV PIR:  There will be FIFTEEN divisions graduating Nov. 30th.  RTC is abiding by the policy that Active Duty/military retirees and children twelve and under do not count toward the 4 invitations each recruit receives. However, if an individual is not on the access list they will NOT be able to enter the drill hall (NO stand by).  Please plan on arriving at least two hours before the ceremony, which begins promptly at 9 a.m.  Thanks to all for your continued support of Recruit Training Command, the Navy's only boot camp!

I am not completely sure, and I have also not read the form so I could be wrong.. but you will definitely want to look into that because I was under the impression that you could only sign out one other SR of the same gender and division as your SR.

Comment by Brittany on October 24, 2012 at 10:41pm
Ok it said you may adopt your recruit plus one other from the same training group on the forum. And my husband is in div 903 and was looking to go up with a girl whose is div 21 and she can't check him out wanted to make sure my recruit could have him as the one other
